Since the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has disclosed that he has not received any offers from other clubs.
Chippa United, Nwabali’s club in South Africa, has been connected with a transfer.
Queens Park Rangers of the Sky Bet Championship and Al Ettifaq of the Saudi Arabian Professional Football League were allegedly interested in signing the goalkeeper.
The goalkeeper has reportedly also been connected to Union St. Gilloise of the Belgian Pro League and Kaizer Chiefs.
Contrary to what the 27-year-old had previously said, no club has contacted his representatives regarding a possible transfer.
To tell you the truth, since AFCON, I haven’t seen anything on my table, “Nwabali told FARPost.
Those teams might have discussed it with my staff or boss. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do right now.
It would be really unprofessional for them to approach me, therefore they can’t. My management or my club is the place they should go.
I am uncertain if there is a plan in the works, but it could be something that is tabled until the summer or transfer season. This is something that the majority of clubs do. Their attention can lead to opportunities at other clubs.
Some people are secretive by nature; once they get the hang of something, they don’t mess around. As of right now, I am clueless.
When Nigeria finished second at AFCON 2023, Nwabali was an integral part of the team.
