Dr. Abdul-Azeez Adediran, a candidate for governor of Lagos State in the 2023 election for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has encouraged his fellow Nigerians to have faith in the country’s future and have a positive outlook.

While speaking in Lagos on Wednesday in observance of Eid el-Fitr, Adediran made the request.

He claimed that despite the present socioeconomic difficulties, optimism remained in the nation and Lagos State.

He made the point that the self-discipline brought about by fasting during Ramadan prompted people to be compassionate for those in need who were unable to provide for themselves due to poverty.

The impact of hunger on millions of impoverished people in the state and country is brought to light during the fasting period, when individuals learn what it’s like to go without food for a whole day.

“We should not discard the important lessons of the Ramadan fasting; instead, we should absorb them as we hope for a better experience with government,” he proclaimed.
