Michael Owen, a former striker for Liverpool, has said that Pep Guardiola, manager of Manchester City, is the greatest manager in the world in terms of tactics.

Guardiola is “absolutely exceptional,” according to Owen, who remarked during Tuesday night’s 3-3 quarterfinal UEFA Champions League tie between Real Madrid and Manchester City.

Owen said of Guardiola, “I think he would teach you so much about the game,” in an interview with TNT Sports.

His focus is on learning the game. When it comes to tactics, he is arguably the greatest manager in the world right now—if not ever.

Additionally, he mentioned that spending a season in Pep Guardiola’s locker room would be an intriguing opportunity for perspective. He is first-rate in every way.

So far, Guardiola’s career has been absolutely spectacular, culminating in three UEFA Champions League victories.
