Peter Obi denounces bad governance, saying, “It’s Now Difficult To Sleep At Night.”

As the country’s economic situation continues to deteriorate, Peter Obi, a presidential contender for the Labour Party in the 2023 general elections, has lambasted the government and disclosed how difficult it is for him to sleep.

Peter Obi called on all Nigerians to put aside their differences in race, religion, and political party to help their country overcome its problems, especially poor leadership.

On March 6, 2024, he tweeted his concerns using the X account.

According to him:

The fundamental responsibility of this generation of Nigerians is to transform their country into one of which they may be justifiably proud.

We all must stand up and do our part to prevent our nation from going any further downhill after it tragically regressed and deteriorated in the past few months, making our economic and other predicament considerably worse than it was before.

With millions of Nigerian families worried about where their next meal will come from and the possibility of terror attacks on some Nigerians as a result of the country’s high degree of insecurity, it’s hard to get a good night’s rest.

I implore us all to put aside our differences in ideology, race, religion, and political party and work together to save our country from the clutches of inept leadership and corrupt government.

It is our sacred obligation as a generation to rebuild Nigeria into a country of which we can all be proud. Identifying and punishing those responsible should not be done at this moment. We must all get together now to save our nation.
