This summer, Sergio Agüero, a former striker for Manchester City, will compete in The Soccer Tournament, a 7-on-7 tournament with a $1 million prize pool.
Cary, North Carolina will host the event from June 5th through the 10th.
The addition of Sergio and his squad to the field this year fills us with joy.
Aside from being a legendary player, he is also widely regarded as one of the most intense competitors in sports history.
“He’s coming to Cary to have fun and compete, which is exactly what TST is all about,” stated Jon Mugar, founder and CEO of TST.
Once Agüero relocated to Barcelona in 2021, he retired at the age of 35.
After being substituted off in a match against Alavés because to chest symptoms, the Argentine was had to retire from football.
