In an open letter to former US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has extended an invitation for Trump to visit his nation.
According to Zelenskyy, he is interested in hearing Trump’s plans to end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
On Tuesday, he made the remarks when speaking with Axel Springer.
But the president of Ukraine has made it clear that he is unconvinced by Trump’s demand that Ukraine cede vast tracts of land in exchange for the end of the conflict.
“If the deal is that we just give up our territories… then, it’s a very primitive idea,” Zelenskyy said.
Real ideas are required because lives are being threatened.
On Tuesday, the United States military announced that it had transferred to Ukraine a variety of small guns and ammunition that had been confiscated from Iranian soldiers during their attempt to supply Tehran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen.
The United States Central Command announced that between May 2021 and February 2023, they seized over 5,000 AK-47 assault weapons, rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns, sniper rifles, and over 500,000 rounds of ammunition from four boats.
The United States announced that “these weapons will help Ukraine defend against Russia’s invasion” and that there is sufficient equipment to outfit a brigade.
