After Tuesday night’s 2-2 draw between Arsenal and Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first leg, Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand said that Bukayo Saka was Arsenal’s most dangerous player.
In the final stages of Arsenal’s match against Bayern Munich at Emirates Stadium, Ferdinand made this statement to convey his shock that the referee did not award a penalty to his team.
After a collision with Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Saka went sliding down inside the area. However, Arsenal’s pleas for a penalty were denied, and the match ended in a tie.
“Why hasn’t that been provided? Ferdinand expressed his shock that video assistant referees had not been used in his interview with TNT Sports.
As he was racing through that area, Arsenal’s Sakhi was their most threatening player. It was a clear penalty.
“I am in the stadium, and I am in utter disbelief. I am walking around with my arms crossed over my head, and I can’t believe what I am seeing.”
